while i don't have a SL avatar myself, i do know from the time i have spent with high school and college students [which is what i do for a living] that SL is much bigger than a bunch of 40 year olds wasting time on-line. if that is all it is, why is IBM, Google and numerous other large first world companies setting up shop on the SL grid? i think SL is a bit larger of a deal than you are giving it credit for. - Eric Kuiper

Lol they don't consider it a second life, most of them are older than 40 and have one or two kids, they have enough with their "first" life. And they use to talk about things like who is Jacob or who is Kate going to end up with, they are not in SL seeking for redemption, or asking themselves such big philosophic questions :D - Unai

unai,

sorry if that isn't clear in the post. i understand that these films are not made about SL. what is interesting to me is that people who have created a second life are using that second life to talk about things like redemption. - Eric Kuiper

I think that your article is a little bit confusing. They are a group that meet every week to discuss about Lost, these videos they are making it has nothing to do with SL. - Unai

the footage at the end was taken from a promo that was done for british tv - apparently it can be found on one of the season dvd collections. if you want more info on the group, dig around on the links in the post - they are a group of 'second life' players who are into the show. - Eric Kuiper

WOW! I loved that. So what's up with the bit at the end with them all dancing? Where did that footage come from? I'm not sure I totally get what this group is that is making these videos... - Matt Browning
