undeserved grace

I saw this film at the Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck, MI last June and we saw it on the last day of the festival and there was a ton of buzz about it. It was described as you said Matt as the "New Zealand Napolean Dynamite" and some people added the "R rated" version of Napolean Dynamite. I can remember laughing really hard at all the awkward humor and almost painful social interactions between a lot the characters. It was such an interesting movie becuase Lily really didn't have much of a reason to keep pursuing Jarrod. He was a complete jerk for most of the movie, which really embodies who he was, but he relentlessly didn't give her any reason to stay with him. She continued to give him grace and it didn't make sense, even to the point of him asking her why she was still around. It was a great picture of grace that persistantly pursues and never gives up. Definetly a movie worth watching becuase of the message of grace and the amount of laughing that can be done along the way. - Joe Graham
